The Systems Engineer will join our talented team at the Coatesville Area School District. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining school district technology infrastructure with emphasis on supporting datacenter servers and enterprise application platforms.

 

Requirements and Qualifications

To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualification requirements listed below represent the minimum levels of educational achievement, training, skill and/or ability necessary.

 

Required Education:

Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in technology related field (Highly desirable) or equivalent experience.

Industry certifications (CNE/MCSE/Network+) highly desirable.

 

Required Skills and Knowledge:

A minimum of three years of successful experience with the design, specification, installation and support of local and wide area computer networks.

Proven technical expertise in server, network, desktop, laptop, tablet and peripheral device maintenance, installation and management.

Active Directory, DNS and DHCP.

Firewall and Content Filter.

Microsoft O365 and other hosted environments.

VMWare support and migration experience required (versions 3.5-6.0.)

Mail flow, SPAM filtering and archiving with servers such as Microsoft Exchange.

Imaging and deployment tools such as WSUS, Intune and SCCM.

Experience with IP routing and bandwidth management.

Wireless networking.

Microsoft Windows 10/11/ Server 2008 – 2022.

Excellent prioritization and project management skills.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent customer service skills.

Willingness to learn and take directions.

 

Desirable Experience:

Cloud Services (Office 365 and Google)

Basic Web Hosting (IIS / Tomcat / Apache / HTML)

Visio.

NetApp San Maintenance from EMC.

Backup & Recovery (Barracuda/Veearn/LiveVault/Datto/Symantec.)

PowerShell Scripts.
