All student teacher and classroom observation experiences required by a college program must be received by the Assistant to the Superintendent for School Board approval. 

Please do not contact building principals or classroom teachers directly. 

The following documents must be received prior to approval for student teaching or classroom observations: 

1. Student Teaching/Observation Request Form - this is NOT an application for employment. 

2. All required clearances according to statutory requirements for the PA Department of Education (for more information go here - http://www.casdschools.org/Page/1799). 

• State Police Clearance (Act 34)
• Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151)
• FBI Fingerprints (Act 114)
• Results from clear TB test

3. A document from your college/university outlining the requirements for the course. 

Please provide at least 4 weeks notice for all requests to be reviewed. Parents or guardians of current CASD students will not be placed in the school in which their children attend.
